Pam Winter joined Midtown Toastmasters, a Verizon corporate club, of midtown Manhattan in October 2005, and served in her first officer capacity as Sergeant at Arms for the 2006 – 2007 term. In 2007, she accepted the club presidency for the 2007 – 2008 term, when the club relocated with Verizon headquarters to Basking Ridge, NJ. In October 2007, Pam joined Hillsborough Toastmasters. She earned her CC and CL simultaneously in January of 2008, and earned her ALB in June of 2008. Pam found Toastmasters has given her the voice and confidence she felt she lacked and is eager to spread the gospel of Toastmasters to all.
Working at Verizon, Pam is a contract administrator for FiOS and helps to support three executives and two teams of over 200 employees. She is a member of IAAP, having served on the Board. She also serves on the Board for her home owners association. She has served in various community volunteer organizations in executive capacities, including the League of Women Voters, Parents Without Partners, Clark College (Vancouver, WA) adult extension, and Head Start.
Pam is also a professional photographer, having covered a Presidential (Clinton) press conference, a NASA Shuttle landing and several Grand Prix races. She does wedding and event photography and has made numerous nature photography submissions to publications. Pam is currently pursuing a degree in Business Administration; is married to Dennis Komsa, has three Maine Coon cats, three children and 8 grandchildren. |
