District 83 Toastmasters

Jennie Steinhagen, current Area 44 Governor, attended her first IEEE LiveWires Toastmasters meeting one week after starting at the IEEE in January 2005. She immediately immersed herself into the Toastmasters spirit of learning and encouragement and considers her experiences with her group some of the most inspiring and enthusiastic of her professional career. Jennie enjoys interacting with Toastmasters from all over the District and the state and, as a member of the Planning Team of the last District 46 Conference, recently celebrated the District split into District 46 and District 83.

With the IEEE LiveWires Jennie held the role of Sergeant-at-Arms from 2005-2006 and was VP Ed in 2006-2007. This past 2007-2008 year Jennie was president of the IEEE LiveWires. She continues to attend meetings regularly and admires the leadership and camaraderie of her growing club.

On a personal note, Jennie enjoys traveling, running, and reading. She has a million favorite quotes and these days reminds herself that: "Opportunity dances with those who are ready on the dance floor." H. Jackson Brown, Jr.
